Jules Unlimited is a popular Dutch educational/scientific series that started in 1999. The last episode was broadcasted in 2017.

On May 21st of 2005 an episode of Jules Unlimited was dedicated to helmet diving. The recordings took two days, one for the indoor diving instruction and one on an outdoor diving location.

During the pool session, presenter Menno made a dive withe the Siebe Gorman diving equipment. He was dressed with the diving suit, boots, diversbelt with knife, a 6 bolt diving helmet, and weights. This complete outfit weighs about 80 kilograms. Beside the diver’s equipment, we also brought a three cylinder diving pump for the breathing air and a diving radio for direct communication.

To make his diving experience complete, Menno was also given the opportunity to dive with the Dutch Diving Helmet, an open water helmet which requires no diving suit and no weights.

The outdoor recordings were filmed at lake Oostvoornse Meer, a well known diving spot for divers. We choose this site because it was an easy and safe access. Despite the not so good weather, Menno experienced how to dive with this nostalgic diving equipment.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the support of our diving team or if you want to use historical diving Equipment.

Naturally, we will cooperate with the director in relation to the possibilities for the use of historical diving gear and/or diving operations.
Our priority is that the importance of safety always takes precedence over the importance of the recording.
